This is an 8.5x11 inch print of a watercolor painting by Mickie West called "County Line Cotton Gin." It's signed by the artist.

In the Mississippi Delta, cotton gins served as vital social and economic centers for farmers. They were places where farmers would line up their trailers to gin their cotton, swap stories about crops and weather, and discuss cotton prices. Operational through the mid-20th century, Jonestown, which is in Coahoma County, in the Mississippi Delta had the Delta Oil Mill operating there, as well as Jonestown Gin, and the County Line Cotton Gin. All of these establishments produced cottonseed products starting around 1942.  Now the old gin lays in ruins, but the memories remain a huge part of the local culture.
